I just received my acceptance to participate in the 2026 Emerging Leader program at work. This program comes highly recommended from my peers and has even been mentioned in distinguished recognitions awarded to Kaplan like the 2025 BEST Awards by the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
The Emerging Leader program is a dynamic eight-week leadership development experience designed to equip high-potential employees with the core skills, mindset, and confidence needed to lead in today’s fast-paced and evolving workplace.
I’m grateful to have been fully supported throughout the application process by my leaders and peers, and feel incredibly honored to have been selected to be part of this cohort with colleagues from across Kaplan North America.
In the spirit of transparency and, hopefully, inspiration, I’d like to share that I previously applied for this opportunity but did not fully meet the requirements. My late manager worked closely with me for most of 2025 to ensure I would be a strong candidate when the next application window opened.
She unfortunately passed away in December, just a week before the application process began. While each day has been difficult to navigate, I’m dedicating my participation in this program to her. I am incredibly grateful for the impact she’s made on me and my career.
